COURSE DESCRIPTION
VEHICLE ROAD RESCUE
This two-day course provides firefighters with the essential knowledge and hands-on skills required to safely and effectively perform vehicle rescue operations in accordance with NFPA 1006 standards.
Participants will cover scene size-up, hazard recognition, incident management, and patient care considerations. The course includes hands-on training in vehicle stabilization, glass management, and the use of hydraulic and hand tools for disentanglement.
Students will also perform practical rescue scenarios, applying techniques such as door removal, roof flap/removal, and patient access and packaging in realistic, scenario-based environments.
Awareness one day course and Level I and Level II both are two day courses.
